I am a senior lecturer at The Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) at University of Borås where I teach and conduct research within the areas of information practices and information literacies. Since 2014 I am an associate editor of the journal Information Research. Before joining SSLIS I worked as a librarian for more than 15 years, a career that was rounded of as deputy library director at Skövde University.
Together with colleagues at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science I am involved in a project that investigates the information practices of refugees as they transition and resettle into Swedish communities. Recently I have also been engaged in a project that explores the practices of evidence-based practice, which served to investigate how librarians become informed and knowledgeable with regards to the often normatively infused imperative dictating that professional practice should be evidence-based.
