Biosketch: Professor Olof Sundin

Olof is professor at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University, where he is the leader of the research group Information Practices: Communication, Culture and Society. His research has focused on information practices in occupational and educational contexts. In his current research he mainly focuses the credibility of digital information, information literacy, the challenged and changed roles of experts and the production and use of encyclopaedic knowledge. He is a member of The International Information Literacies Research Network and of the permanent committee for Information Seeking in Context (ISIC). Olof is also a member of the editorial advisory board of Journal of Documentation.

Olof is one of two research leaders of the framework project Knowledge in a Digital World: Trust, Credibility and Relevance on the Web funded by the Swedish Research Council. He is also the leader of the project Encyclopaedias' Trustworthiness in the Digital Media Landscape funded by The Erik Philip-Sörensen Foundation.
