Biosketch: Dr. Anna Klerfelt

I am holding a position as senior lecturer at the Department of education, communication and learning at the University of Gothenburg. My research interests are directed towards interactive processes that arise when children and pedagogues meet in educational practices to create stories with digital technology. I have also an interest in exploring the significance of children’s development of self and their understanding of the world by their use of aesthetical expressions. I am interested in using methodologies with the aim of making children’s voices visible in research. Different aspects of research towards the activity in leisure-time centres are another main interest of research.

My teaching concerns children’s meaning making processes in school age educare, preschool and primary school and is placed within the aesthetical domain. I am also giving lectures about children’s learning processes with technological tools. I am teaching in the teacher education, at both ground-, master-, and doctoral level and regularly supervising students in their essays.

I also hold a position as assistant professor and leader of research-activities with the assignment of developing research activities and higher education towards schoolage educare together with the research-group at the platform for schoolage educare research at Jönköping University.
