Biosketch: Assoc. Prof. Jonas Ivarsson
Jonas Ivarsson is Associate Professor and Research Dean at the Faculty of Education. He has a background in cognitive science and communication studies, with a PhD in educational science. The general research interests concern the role of representational technologies in the preservation, transmission and development of specialised knowledge and competence. Ivarsson has previously studied work carried out in the areas of science education, computer gaming, and architectural education.
Jonas is currently in charge of one research project funded by the Swedish Research Council. "Epistemic Topologies: Arranging for advanced knowledge articulation". The general goal of the project is to study learning and knowledge development within teams of professionals from the fields of architectural design and thoracic radiology.
